Hey there! I’m Abby, the heart behind Hummingbird Piano Studio. I’m a passionate piano teacher based in South Portland, right near Cape Elizabeth, specializing in in-home lessons that bring music right to your doorstep.

I’ve been playing piano for 20 years and have been teaching professionally for more than eight. I hold a master’s degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Southern Maine. My teaching style blends classical technique with creative expression. My biggest goal when teaching is for students to feel confident and love what they do at the piano.

When I’m not teaching or practicing, you can usually find me making something: knitting, crafting, or diving into whatever creative project has caught my attention. For me, creativity doesn’t stop at the piano keys!

Music is so much more than just notes on a page; it’s a language that connects us. I’d love to help you or your child discover the joy of playing piano in a relaxed, supportive environment.
